Prologue

A year ago, I knew 2007 would be tough. Flash to present -- I'm sitting here, 5 months shy of my wedding, in the throws of trying to rennovate our newly purchased money pit, all whilst in the midst of the biggest software implementation our company has ever endeavoured upon, thoroughly broke and I'm thinking to myself ... how in the world did I get myself into this cacophony o' craziness!? Whenever I drift into the depths of stress and despair, somehow, the story, which you're about to indulge me by reading, ALWAYS puts it into perspective for me. Despite my dellusions of woe, I can clearly see the heights of my prosperity; I'm marrying the love of my life, I work at a Fortune 500 company which in turn affords me to live in a historically significant home in the perfect neighborhood -- life is relatively ... PERFECT. So how'd we get to this point you ask? FLASHBACK - May, 2006 ... and so it begins.
